Product Information

The Varme Mat system uses the same technology as our Varme Cable Kits but is optimised for larger ‘open-plan’ as opposed to complex, irregular areas.

By developing this system, Varme have simplified and speeded up the fitting process. The heating cable is pre-attached to a 50cm wide fibreglass mesh which is rolled out onto the existing sub-floor or insulation board, when the opposing wall is met, the mat is cut, rotated 90 degrees and rolled-out in the opposite direction. This process is repeated until the floor is complete. (see diagram below).

Varme Cable Mat come with double sided tape attached the underside to hold it in place for tiling. Once happy that the mat is in place, simply remove the release paper on the double-sided tape and press the mat on to the primed floor.
